Schoolhouse Globes
Schoolhouse globes with painted bands should be gently cleaned with a damp, soft cloth. Globes with painted bands should not be immersed in water or rinsed under running water. To protect the glass and painted bands, avoid alcohol-based and abrasive cleaners.
Schoolhouse globes featuring painted bands should only be used indoors, excluding full bathrooms.
Copper & Brass
For oil-rubbed copper, weathered copper and brass finishes, slight variations may occur from shade to shade.
Copper and brass fixtures have a longer lead time and may take up to 4 weeks to manufacture. That are no returns accepted on these metals.
Copper is a "living" metal that, without regular cleaning, will undergo a natural weathering process. Much like the formation of rust on iron, a patina develops on copper which actually protects the metal. If you prefer the new-penny look of copper, you can keep it shiny with regular care with a gentle cleaning agent such as Bar Keeper's Friend.
Lead Times & Returns
Lead Time: Standard lead time is 8-10 weeks. Products utilizing natural metals, including brass and copper, may take an additional 3-4 weeks to manufacture beyond the standard lead time.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to current supply chain challenges and additional factors beyond Barn Light Electric's control, lead times may be longer than customary. Please contact our Customer Care Team if you have any questions or concerns regarding your order(s) at 321-269-2299. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your extended patience.
Finish Care & Maintenance
No metal fixture, no matter the finish, is guaranteed against corrosion especially in salt air environments. If your fixture is installed in a location near salt water, we recommend cleaning it frequently.
If your fixture is not installed in a location near salt water, we recommend periodic cleaning with a mild soap-and-water wash and gentle buffing to extend the life of our painted finishes.

We ordered two of these lights, for a newly renovated
attic. They look terrific! I would definitely order from Barn Light
again.

The light was exactly as pictured. It is lovely in our beach cottage dining room. Delivery took a couple weeks, but it was definitely worth the wait. The light arrived packed well.
I would order from the company again.

The lamp is lovely in an unlit condition. But be aware that the painted band is opaque paint. Therefore, when the light is on the band is NOT an illuminated yellow band. It shows as a grey opaque shadow. It is not unattractive, and a small bit of the yellow is hinted at, but the fixture, when illuminated is less attractive than when unlit. I suppose I had been thinking the yellow band was yellow glass. It is not. It is yellow paint.
