Kao Primary Schoolhouse Cord Pendant Light
Originally developed by Pass & Seymour, Alabax fixtures prominently used ceramic in their designs. We've merged this classic look with our schoolhouse lighting, resulting in a unique lighting option. Schoolhouse pendants were traditionally used to illuminate public spaces in the 1920s. However, today many designers integrate this vintage lighting into the decors of both residential and commercial spaces. The ceramic canopy is easily cleaned, making it the perfect addition to kitchen and restaurant lighting plans.
This fixture is handmade in the United States and is simple to customize. Select a vibrant finish color for the canopy, opaque or clear shade, and add hand-painted stripes to the schoolhouse shade and create a look unique to your home or business!
- Features a customizable glass schoolhouse globe, hand-spun fitter and ceramic canopy.

- White painted band(s) not recommended if Opaque Glass is selected, as it blends into the glass.

Schoolhouse Globes
Schoolhouse globes with painted bands should be gently cleaned with a damp, soft cloth. Globes with painted bands should not be immersed in water or rinsed under running water. To protect the glass and painted bands, avoid alcohol-based and abrasive cleaners.

Copper & Brass
For oil-rubbed copper, weathered copper and brass finishes, slight variations may occur from shade to shade.
Copper and brass fixtures have a longer lead time and may take up to 4 weeks to manufacture. That are no returns accepted on these metals.
Copper is a "living" metal that, without regular cleaning, will undergo a natural weathering process. Much like the formation of rust on iron, a patina develops on copper which actually protects the metal. If you prefer the new-penny look of copper, you can keep it shiny with regular care with a gentle cleaning agent such as Bar Keeper's Friend.

Finish Care & Maintenance
No metal fixture, no matter the finish, is guaranteed against corrosion especially in salt air environments. If your fixture is installed in a location near salt water, we recommend cleaning it frequently.
If your fixture is not installed in a location near salt water, we recommend periodic cleaning with a mild soap-and-water wash and gentle buffing to extend the life of our painted finishes.
